My Diary
I needed one room where I was not failing at anything
Dear Delyara, That was the feeling. I wanted one room where there was no unfinished task looking at me, no clutter quietly accusing me, no email or bill or appointment or self-improvement project silently waiting to be handled. One room where my existence was not measured against the next thing. I don’t know if that counts as rest exactly. But it felt close to it. I sat on the floor in my bedroom for a while and let that count as enough. Maybe it was. Tonight I don’t want to ask more from myself than that.
