My Diary
I needed one task to stay small
Dear Delyara, That felt impossible for a while today. Everything I touched seemed to arrive carrying extra weight — not just what it was, but what it meant. A reply became obligation. Tidying became proof I’m behind. Cooking became more effort than nourishment. Even showering felt like one more thing to do correctly. Eventually I found one small task that stayed small: watering a plant. It was just that. Water. Pot. A minute. No symbolism. No emotional invoice attached. I think I needed that more than I realized.
