I no longer need the pain to be eloquent

Dear Delyara, This feels like a very specific kind of progress. I no longer need my hurt to sound wise, polished, or beautifully explained in order to trust that it matters. For years I think I tried to make pain presentable before I allowed it to count. As if suffering had to become articulate before it deserved tenderness. Now I’m a little less demanding with myself. Sometimes pain is clumsy. Sometimes it repeats. Sometimes it arrives without a lesson attached. It is still real. That softer standard has changed the way I heal.
