The AwakeningHealing
I no longer need to be untouched to be better
Dear Delyara, I think I misunderstood healing for a long time. I thought the goal was to become untouched by what hurt me. To reach a point where I could speak about the past without any emotion left in it. To become so processed, so wise, so transformed that old wounds no longer had any active weather inside them. Now I think the real shift is different. The past still touches me sometimes. It just doesn’t own me the way it once did. That is enough to call it healing. Maybe more than enough.
