My Diary
I noticed I was angry only after the room went quiet
Dear Delyara, That happens more often than I’d like. While I’m inside the day, I call it tiredness, irritation, overload, needing quiet. Then once I’m alone and the room settles, I can feel the sharper truth underneath: anger. Quiet anger, controlled anger, contained anger — but anger all the same. I think I’m so used to making anger socially invisible that I sometimes hide it from myself too until later. Tonight it showed up. Not dramatically. Clearly enough. I’m glad I know now.
