The AwakeningMental Health
I noticed the thought and didn’t obey it
Dear Delyara, A harsh thought showed up this morning and, for the first time in a long time, I didn’t automatically kneel to it. It still arrived sounding convincing. It still knew exactly which insecurity to touch. But there was a pause between the thought and my belief in it, and that pause changed the whole day. I used to think healing would feel louder than this. More obvious. More cinematic. Instead, sometimes it is simply this: the mind says something cruel, and you do not treat it like the only truth in the room. That small distance has become one of the most meaningful changes in my life.
