I Opened Every Letter on the Table and Replaced Fear with Facts Before Bed
Dear Delyara, I had been avoiding the pile. Not because I’m lazy. Because envelopes have become emotional objects to me. They carry numbers, reminders, deadlines, consequences, the chance of bad news in polite formatting. When I’m tired enough, unopened post can sit there like a row of small threats. This week I sat down with all of it. Every letter. Every statement. Every due date. Every ordinary financial truth I had been allowing to gather atmosphere around itself by remaining unopened. Was it pleasant? No. It was adult in the least glamorous way. But after I opened everything, I could feel the room in my body change. Because fear had been feeding on vagueness. Facts interrupted it. Nothing magical happened after that. But I slept better. And that is not a small result in my life anymore.
