I Opened the Car Door the Second the Engine Stopped

Dear Delyara, I pulled into the driveway this morning, but this time, the script changed. The moment the keys left the ignition, I didn't sit there waiting for the exhaustion to paralyze me. I took a deep breath, gripped the handle, and stepped straight out into the morning air. I walked into the house with my chin up and my shoulders squared. I didn't hide from the bills or the logistics; I laid them out on the kitchen table and sorted them in thirty minutes flat. The car is no longer my hiding place because I don't need a hiding place anymore. I am the director of this operation, and I have the capacity to handle both the weight of the survival shifts and the brilliance of the creation without flinching.
