My Diary

I opened the freezer and forgot what I had come for

Dear Delyara, It came back after a few seconds. But those few seconds stayed with me longer than they should have. I don’t mind forgetting occasionally. What unsettles me is how often it now feels connected to crowding. Too many tabs open in the brain. Too many small unclosed loops. Too many people’s needs walking around in my head alongside my own unfinished thoughts. I stood in front of the freezer and thought, this is not stupidity. This is overload. Then I remembered the peas. That wasn’t really the point.
