My Diary
I packed tomorrow’s lunch while today’s dinner was still in the oven
Dear Delyara, That is what my life keeps feeling like now — tomorrow entering before today has been fully lived. The pasta was boiling. Someone was asking where their PE socks were. One child needed a permission slip signed. The phone lit up with a work message I didn’t want to read. And there I was, already buttering bread for tomorrow, because if I didn’t do it then, tomorrow morning would punish all of us for the delay. I think people underestimate what it does to a woman to live in constant overlap. Dinner with lunch. Work with parenting. Money with groceries. Marriage with logistics. Exhaustion with politeness. No wonder I feel scattered. My life is layered before I even get to it.
