I Paid It Off Quietly
Dear Delyara, No one celebrated with me when I paid off that debt. There were no flowers. No photos. No captions about growth. Just me, in my room, staring at a screen and feeling my body soften in a way I did not realize it had needed to. Debt had followed me everywhere. Into my meals. Into my sleep. Into every invitation I declined politely. Into every purchase I made with guilt attached to it. Clearing even one part of it felt like getting a piece of my future back. Quiet victories still count. Especially the ones that let you breathe again.
