I passed the course I nearly abandoned because shame had become louder than belief

Dear Delyara, I nearly left three times. Each time it was the same private story: too old, too tired, too distracted, too many real-life responsibilities, too much emotional wear and tear to still be doing this properly. The younger people in the room seemed to carry ambition with less visible damage. I carried mine with school runs, bills, sleeplessness, and all the soft humiliations of starting over later than I once imagined. Still, I stayed. And I passed. What that gave me was not just a result. It gave me counter-evidence against one of my oldest fears: that I had missed my own moment and was now only allowed to admire other people from the sidelines. I have proof now. And proof matters when self-doubt has had the microphone for years.
