I passed the exam after failing it four times

Dear Delyara, I failed the nursing entrance exam four times. After the third failure, relatives stopped asking when I would try again. After the fourth, even I stopped calling it temporary. I worked in a care home, saved for another attempt, and asked a tutor to review exactly where I was losing marks. We discovered I understood the material but panicked under timed conditions. I changed how I prepared: weekly mock exams, strict timing, counselling for test anxiety, and no studying after midnight. Yesterday, I opened the result with my younger sister beside me. Pass. I read the word once and thought I had misunderstood it. Then my sister screamed. I am thirty-six. Some of the students entering the programme will be nearly half my age. That does not bother me anymore. Four failures taught me something success never could have taught quickly: wanting a profession does not make the path obligated to be short.
