I passed the exam after failing it twice
Dear Delyara, I’m thirty-four, a mother of two, and most people assumed the course was just “something I was trying.” Even I started to talk about it that way after the second failure because it hurt less than saying I wanted it badly. But I did want it badly. I studied at the kitchen table after bedtime, with laundry behind me and notes beside the air fryer. Sometimes I fell asleep on the workbook. The third time, I passed. I didn’t scream. I didn’t cry immediately. I just sat staring at the email because my body didn’t know how to absorb good news that had already been mourned twice. Then my daughter saw my face, read the result over my shoulder, and shouted before I could. I think what this victory gave me was not just the qualification. It gave me back trust in persistence.
