My Diary

I put the frozen peas in the fridge and the yoghurt in the freezer

Dear Delyara, Only for a few minutes. I caught it in time. Still, I think that says enough about the state I was in. I was unpacking the shopping, answering a question about homework, mentally calculating what to cook tomorrow, and trying not to forget the parcel still in the car. Somewhere in the middle of that, the peas and yoghurt swapped destinies. I looked at the shelf and actually laughed because the mistake was so exact, so domestic, so honest. I don’t feel close to breaking down. I feel close to muddling. And sometimes muddling is just as revealing.
