My Diary
I put the groceries away in the wrong places
Dear Delyara, Milk on the wrong shelf. Tomatoes near the freezer. Bread left on the counter until I found it again twenty minutes later. Nothing terrible. Just enough to tell me I was more tired than I had admitted while I was still outside. I think sometimes the body gives itself away in tiny domestic mistakes. Not dramatic ones. Just the kind that say: you are functioning, but not gracefully. You are here, but not fully gathered. You are doing the ordinary things, but the thread inside them is looser than usual. That was today. I corrected everything in the end, but what stayed with me wasn’t the groceries. It was the feeling that I had walked into my own kitchen already emotionally late to myself.
