I Read Poetry Out Loud to Myself
Dear Delyara, All day long I hear instructions, questions, prices, reminders, school things, work things, tasks, logistics. Practical language can starve a person slowly if it is all they take in for too long. I think that happened to me this week. So I read poetry out loud. And hearing beautiful words in my own voice felt like opening a window in a room I had not realised was airless until the air came in. It soothed something. It reminded me that my inner life still deserves more than management.
