My Diary
I realized I was angrier than I sounded
Dear Delyara, That happens to me more than I think. A tone, a message, a small unfairness, a repeated irritation, and I continue speaking calmly enough that no one would guess how much heat has actually collected underneath. By the time I’m alone, I can feel how much energy went into keeping the anger socially manageable. I’m not sure that’s always healthy. But it is familiar. Tonight I realized the day had left more anger in me than I’d admitted while living it. I’m glad I know now, even late.
