Small JoysHobbies
I remembered what it feels like to play without outcome
Dear Delyara, This week I did something with no point. No audience. No future use. No productivity. No self-improvement hidden inside it. And it felt wonderful. I think I had forgotten how healing purposeless joy can be. Or maybe “purposeless” is the wrong word. Maybe joy is purpose enough, and it’s only our overworked minds that keep demanding a second justification. Either way, something in me came back while I was playing. I noticed.
