I replaced the shampoo I hate using
Dear Delyara, It was not about beauty. It was about irritation. Every time I used it, I felt slightly annoyed with myself. It dried my hair out, smelled wrong, and somehow managed to make a very ordinary part of my week feel meaner than it needed to. Still, I kept using it because it was “fine,” because I had already bought it, because it felt too silly to prioritise. This week I threw it away and bought the one I actually wanted. That felt bigger than shampoo. It felt like a quiet refusal to keep building my life out of things I merely tolerate just because I can endure them. I am trying to stop confusing endurance with wisdom. This was one small correction in that direction.
