Other VictoriesOvercoming Fear

I replied to the email I had been avoiding for two weeks

Dear Delyara, It wasn’t even a hostile email. That’s what’s so embarrassing. It just required a response with enough clarity and confidence that I kept postponing it. The longer I left it, the heavier it became. This morning I opened it, answered plainly, pressed send, and felt ridiculous for how large it had become in my mind. Then I also felt proud. Because in real life, fear is often not dramatic. It is admin you avoid until it starts distorting the size of itself. Today I made it smaller by doing it.
