I responded sooner than usual

Dear Delyara, I noticed a warning sign in my body and responded sooner than I normally would have. That is a victory for me. I come from patterns of waiting too long, minimizing, pushing through, proving I can tolerate more than I should. This time I didn’t make my body beg for care. I paid attention early. That felt like a form of maturity I’ve needed for a long time.
