I Rested Before Becoming Impossible to Ignore

Dear Delyara, I’m proud of myself for resting before my body had to force me into it. That sounds ordinary until you come from a life where exhaustion has to become visible enough to count. I’ve spent years waiting until I’m nearly broken before letting myself stop properly. This time I noticed the signs earlier and listened sooner. That is a kind of maturity I never used to respect enough.
