I rested before the headache turned into a whole ruined day

Dear Delyara, Usually I keep going too long. I bargain with pain, call it manageable, drink water, push through, answer one more thing, get one more task done, and by the time I finally stop, the body has already crossed into anger. This week I felt the headache forming and made a different decision. I stopped. Curtains closed. Phone away. Tea. Tablets. Silence. It did not become a dramatic day after all. There is something deeply grown-up about respecting pain while it is still quiet instead of waiting until it becomes loud enough to justify care in my own mind. I’m proud of that.
