The WeightRegret
I revisit the old choice when I am tired
Dear Delyara, There is one decision I revisit most often when I’m tired. I don’t know if that means regret is stronger at night or if I’m simply less defended then. But it happens enough that I recognize the pattern now. When I am low, or lonely, or stretched thin, the old choice returns with its alternate versions. What if I had said something else? Left sooner? Stayed longer? Trusted myself? Been less afraid? I know revisiting changes nothing. Still, the mind returns. Regret is repetitive like that. Not useful, just loyal.
