I said the full truth in the appointment instead of handing over the reduced version
Dear Delyara, Usually I minimise. Just tired. Just stressed. Probably hormones. Busy week. A lot going on. All of that may be true, but it is also how I have learned to protect rooms from the actual scale of what I’m carrying. This time I didn’t do that. I said the real thing. That I’m frightened by the fatigue. That I feel less present in my own life by evening. That my patience has changed. That the body feels overused. That I no longer trust “just tired” as an honest enough summary of how different I have felt for too long now. The appointment changed when I did. The care got more serious. So did I. That’s the victory for me — not a diagnosis, not a cure, but the refusal to keep protecting everyone else from the full truth of what my body has been trying to say.
