My Diary
I sat in the dark for five minutes before turning the lamp on
Dear Delyara, The room was quiet, and I just didn’t want one more thing entering me yet. Not even light. It wasn’t sadness exactly. More like emotional crowding. The whole day had been too full, and by the time I got upstairs, I could feel I needed a gentler transition into the evening than just switching things on and carrying on. So I sat there in the dimness with my shoes still on and let my body catch up to itself. That helped more than I expected. Sometimes what I need most is not advice or progress or anything wise. Just less impact for a few minutes.
