I saw the care underneath the clumsy form
Dear Delyara, One of the things I’m learning with age is that some people love in forms that are harder to recognize at first. Not because the love isn’t there. Because the language is clumsy. This week I noticed a small act from a parent that would have once felt irritating or overinvolved to me. Instead, I saw the care under it. The attempt. The worry behind the wrong tone. The effort hidden in a form I don’t naturally receive well. It didn’t erase the complexity. But it softened it. That felt like a mature kind of gratitude.
