I sent the application before I could turn it into a private shrine of perfectionism

Dear Delyara, I know myself well enough now to understand the danger of extra time. Extra time does not always improve the work. Sometimes it simply gives fear more space to disguise itself as excellence. This week, when the application was genuinely ready, I pressed send. I did not reread it twelve more times. I did not let myself drift into the fantasy that one more tweak would somehow remove the vulnerability of wanting the thing. I sent it while it was still alive and imperfect and mine. Afterward, I felt both exposed and relieved, which I think is how real progress often feels if we’re honest.
