Dear Delyara, I have spent too much of my life waiting to feel sufficiently polished, qualified, certain, or emotionally legitimate before reaching for more. As if confidence is something that should arrive before action rather than something that is often built by action itself. This time I did not wait. I wrote the email. I asked for the meeting, the chance, the opening, the possibility. My stomach still dropped when I pressed send. I did it anyway.
