Dear Delyara, That matters because invisibility can disguise itself as dignity. For a long time I have wanted opportunities to come toward me through merit alone. Work hard, be reliable, be thoughtful, be decent, and trust that the right people will notice. Sometimes they do. Often they don’t. This week I sent the follow-up. Not pushy, not desperate, not dramatic. Clear. Professional. Present. And what I realised afterward was that asking to be seen is not arrogance. Sometimes it is simply refusing to let old fear and over-politeness keep writing your career for you in disappearing ink. The message itself was short. Its emotional meaning to me was not.
