I Sent the Proposal

Dear Delyara, Not because I felt ready. Because I finally understood ready was never going to arrive first. I had polished enough. Thought enough. Delayed enough. Rearranged sentences enough. And beneath all of that, the truth was clear: fear was protecting itself through perfectionism. So I sent it. My stomach dropped. My hands went cold. I still pressed send. That felt like a serious victory. Because there comes a point where the biggest obstacle is no longer the work — it is the willingness to let the work be seen before you have emotionally protected yourself against every possible outcome. This time, I let it go.
