My Diary

I stayed by the window longer than necessary

Dear Delyara, Tonight I stood by the window for no practical reason after turning the kitchen light off. I think I needed a moment where nothing asked anything of me. No message, no reply, no next task, no emotional interpretation, no performance. Just the dark outside, the reflection of my own face in the glass, and the very ordinary fact that I was tired in a way sleep alone doesn’t fix. Some evenings feel like they have too much residue from the day in them. Too much tone, too much effort, too much self-management left behind in the room. Standing at the window felt like a small pause before fully returning to myself. I wish more of my life felt like that kind of pause.
