My Diary
I stayed in the kitchen after the tea was ready
Dear Delyara, Tonight I made tea and then didn’t drink it straight away. I just stood in the kitchen holding the mug while the room got quieter around me. I think I was delaying the part where I had to sit down and be fully inside the evening. During the day, life keeps moving fast enough that I don’t always hear myself clearly. But once everything slows down, the backlog begins — thoughts, feelings, things I avoided naming properly because there wasn’t time or because I wanted to get through the day looking normal. Nothing especially bad happened today. And still, the quiet felt heavy. It’s strange how an ordinary kitchen can become the place where all the unspoken things finally catch up.
