I stayed in the room with the numbers

Dear Delyara, That may sound small. It isn’t small for me. I stayed. I didn’t turn away quickly. I didn’t collapse immediately into shame or dread. I let the numbers be real long enough for thought to arrive before panic could take over. That is progress. I am learning that facing reality calmly is its own kind of financial healing. Not just more money. More steadiness in the presence of money. This week, I felt a little more of that steadiness. I want to keep building it.
