I stayed with the work even when I didn’t feel brilliant
Dear Delyara, I’ve spent too many years admiring only the visible forms of intelligence. Lately I’m learning to respect a different one: staying. Staying with the work when I’m tired. When I don’t feel impressive. When the process is slow. When I’m learning through private emotional weather. When I’m not confident, only committed. That kind of persistence has built more of my life than brilliance ever did. I’m finally starting to respect it properly.
