I still carry old shame into new mistakes

Dear Delyara, Forget something small, say the wrong thing, get overwhelmed, need more rest, feel too much, spend too much, and immediately some old familiar shame starts speaking as if the moment confirms everything harsh I’ve ever feared about myself. That’s what I’m tired of. Not only the mistake. The way old shame makes it mean too much too quickly. A forgotten text becomes selfishness. A bad week becomes failure. A limit becomes weakness. One tired tone becomes proof that I’m not good enough in some deeper way. I know that voice is lying. It still sounds painfully fluent when I’m already low.
