The StruggleBurnout
I still complete the tasks but feel less alive inside them
Dear Delyara, This is the version of burnout I’ve been living with lately. I still complete what needs to be completed. That’s what makes it so easy to hide. But the tasks feel hollowed out from the inside. I move through them without enough presence, enough interest, enough aliveness. It’s as if my life is still functioning in practical terms while some quieter internal engine has started running low. I’m not collapsed. I am diminished. And that is harder to defend because it still looks like competence from the outside.
