My Diary
I still feel ashamed when money makes me feel small
Dear Delyara, That’s the part I dislike most. The way financial pressure can change not just my plans but my internal posture. A low balance, a bill, an unexpected expense, and suddenly I feel less expansive, less generous, less solid, less like the version of myself I want my family to experience. I know money is practical. In me, it is also emotional history. That’s why I hate saying “I’m stressed about money” as if the sentence covers it. It isn’t only stress. It’s the way numbers can still reach old shame faster than newer wisdom.
