I still feel guilty when I choose rest over catching up

Dear Delyara, Even when I am obviously tired. Even when I know I need sleep more than I need another finished task. Even when experience has already shown me that “catching up” is a myth because there will always be more tomorrow. Still, the guilt comes. It tells me I should stay up, finish the thing, answer the message, fold the washing, get ahead. It makes rest sound lazy and unfinished work sound morally superior, even when the cost is my own body and mood the next day. I know better than that intellectually. At night, guilt still has a louder voice than wisdom.
