The WeightGuilt

I still feel guilty when I need people less

Dear Delyara, Less talking. Less visiting. Less checking in. Less social energy. Less phone time. Less obligation. On some weeks, that is exactly what my body is asking for. Not drama, not withdrawal, just less input. But the second I honour that need, guilt appears and starts rewriting it as rejection, selfishness, coldness, failure. I know better than that. I still feel it. And because I feel it, even the relief of less contact gets contaminated. That’s the cruel part. The need is already hard. Then guilt arrives and makes rest feel morally untidy.
