I still leave family spaces carrying more emotional sound than I brought in

Dear Delyara, Even when nothing overtly bad happens. That’s what makes it hard to explain. The conversations may be ordinary. The visit may be fine. The logistics may be simple. And still, I leave carrying more internal noise — old roles stirred up, old caution activated, old emotional static humming underneath the present. I think family can be exhausting simply because history keeps breathing quietly under normal moments. Love lives there too. So does noise. That combination still wears me out.
