The BondDivorce
I still miss the ordinary witness more than the romance
Dear Delyara, The small shared life is what returns to me most often. The extra cup. The second pair of footsteps. The person who knows the ordinary version of your day without you needing to explain why it was long. The one who was there for the parts of life too plain to turn into stories. I think that is what I still grieve most. The witness. Romance can be remembered in big moments. Companionship is remembered in small absences. That’s what still gets me sometimes.
