I still react from places I don’t talk about

Dear Delyara, Some of my reactions don’t belong only to the present. That has taken me a long time to admit. There are times when a current moment hurts more because it lands on an old place I rarely name out loud. The fear gets larger. The apology comes faster. The body responds with a level of urgency the present situation hasn’t really earned. I think people imagine old wounds as memories. Often they are behaviors.
