I still want care in a form my body recognizes without translation
Dear Delyara, That longing feels embarrassingly alive for something so old. I know they cared, and I know the limits of how care was expressed. Still, some part of me keeps wanting tenderness that lands more directly. Less hidden in advice, less tangled in awkwardness, less coded through practicality. Something the body could trust without having to decode it first. Maybe that’s the child in me. Maybe it’s simply the nervous system asking for what it still never fully got. Either way, the longing remains.
