I still want emotional recognition more than practical concern

Dear Delyara, Practical concern is real. It is not nothing. But it does not always land where I most need care. I still want recognition — the kind that says I can tell what this costs you, not only what should be done about it. That kind of recognition feels rarer in my family than I wish it were. I know that longing is old. It is not gone.
