I still want softer language from them

Dear Delyara, I understand them more now. The history, the limits, the emotional skill gaps, the forms of love they can and cannot naturally offer. And still, part of me keeps wanting softer language from them. Not more gifts. Not more practical support. Just language that reaches the nervous system differently. Something less functional, less indirect, less clumsy in its care. Something that meets me not only as someone they worry about, but as someone they can emotionally see. I know that may never fully arrive. That knowing doesn’t stop the ache.
