The PlotLost Ambition
I still work hard, but the desire feels thinner
Dear Delyara, I think what I miss is not productivity. It’s hunger. I still work. Still show up. Still make things happen. Still carry responsibilities and keep moving. But the emotional heat underneath some of my old ambitions feels weaker now. I don’t know if that is burnout, age, grief, or a natural shift in values. I just know that some things I used to want brightly now feel harder to want cleanly. There is sadness in that. And maybe some wisdom too. But mostly sadness tonight.
