I Stood in Morning Air Before Looking at My Messages
Dear Delyara, That minute changed the day. Cold air. Quiet. Sky. No school app. No work. No money. No news. No emotional demands entering through a screen before my body had even fully arrived in the morning. I think I had forgotten how important order is to the nervous system. What enters first matters. And if the first thing entering is other people’s needs, the day starts in service before I have even had one clean moment of being my own. This week I gave myself the air first. It felt simple. It also felt like rescue.
