My Diary

I stood in the bathroom and forgot why I had gone there

Dear Delyara, It came back eventually. But for those few seconds, I just stood there looking at the sink, the mirror, the towel rail, waiting for my own thought to return like a person running late. That unsettled me more than it should have. Because these little lapses are not just memory slips anymore. They feel like signals. Too many tabs open. Too much pressure. Too little real rest. Too much emotional traffic through one tired brain. No one else saw it. That’s part of why it stayed with me. So much of this kind of depletion is private until it becomes a problem visible enough for other people to take seriously. I don’t want to wait for that stage anymore.
